Visiting the Garden
VISITING OLD MISSION FLOWERS
The self-serve cutting garden is open May through October from dawn to dusk every day. Please make an appointment if you need assistance for a large party or bridal flowers.
The very best time to cut flowers is in the cool of the morning or evening, however, you are welcome to come whenever it suits you.
Recycled containers and vases, water, flower preservative and scissors are available for your use.
The flowers are sold on an honor system with suggested prices ranging from $.50 to $5.00/stem (large and multi-blooming flowers). Vases are available with prices for filling. As an example, you may fill a quart jar with any flowers you want for $15.00.
Purchases are made with cash or check - there is a metal pipe to put your payment in.
THINGS TO BRING:
Sensible shoes and a jacket if it's cool
Cash or checkbook
Any packaging you prefer to transport your flowers without spilling.
Garden gloves if you like.
Water bottle – the garden water is not for drinking.
Clean buckets for large quantities of flowers.
Children are especially welcome at the garden and may cut flowers with adult supervision.
Come prepared, there is not a restroom available to the public at the garden.
