May Flowers

The flower season begins with the huge “King Alfred” daffodils, often by May 1st, however, some years the garden is still covered with snow on May Day.

The tulips begin blooming mid-May.

Fragrant lilacs bloom mid-late May. They last best if picked when they are 1/3 open.
