Welcoming spring with tulips

Welcoming spring with tulips

The 'King Alfred' daffodils are blooming, others are heading out, and the tulips are just starting to pop, making them perfect for spring bouquets.  The backstory on the daffodils is that Ginny was overly exuberant every spring with her garden fork and was constantly stabbing the underground irrigation lines - to the point that her saintly husband told her he was never fixing them again.  Her solution was to plant daffodils as markers, mulch them and never damage the irrigation system again.

You can review this post from last year for daffodil arrangement ideas.

We are looking forward to this season and cannot wait to see what the garden has in store throughout the next several months.
